About Lauren

What I love about being a broadcast journalist is that every day is unpredictable. One day I’m putting together a feature on a stolen pig statue, and the next I’m breaking news of a quadruple homicide or a child getting stuck on a ride at Six Flags. Then you can’t forget those days of standing in snow about half your height.

Most recently, I was a Reporter at WTEN-TV in Albany, New York, where I pitched, wrote and presented multiple leading enterprise stories daily, in the field or studio and sometimes as a Multimedia Journalist – shooting and editing as well. The stories spanned far and wide from city life in New York’s Capital Region, up to Saratoga Springs and Lake George, and to the Berkshires in Massachusetts and Bennington County in Vermont. Through it all, I actively engaged with our viewers on social media while maintaining relationships with my contacts.

Prior to moving to Upstate New York, I spent nearly two years in Wausau, Wisconsin as a Reporter, Multimedia Journalist, Anchor and Producer. Working in a small market in the Midwest offered me a different kind of experience and appreciation for small-town life – something I also acquired from going to school at Indiana University – Bloomington.

I’ve always been fascinated by the news and feel a constant urge to be informed. My inquisitive nature and keen interest in meeting and talking to new people drive me to dig deeper to present news that resonates with our viewers.

Being a reporter has challenged and forced me to think on my feet, and it constantly fuels my love of news and passion for storytelling.

I hope you'll feel inspired to watch my reel and view my resume. I'd love to hear from you on social media!
